Christmas for 2012 is officially over and now the New Year starts soon. College Bowl games and friendships and relationships are high on the priority list for the next few days. Then, it’s back to shooting. Got to go out with my friend Judy Neill for a snow filled shooting day and it produced a really good shot or two. Hope you all have an excellent New Year!
Another favorite is one of an old homestead located on Cloverdale Raod. Must have been quite a place in it’s day.
We had a ton of fun and got to experience some of the challenges of shooting in a snow storm. Hope you enjoy.
For the first time for me, and the second year for my shooting friend Judy Neill, we attended the Dufur Threshing Bee last Saturday in Dufur, Oregon. Dufur is a small farming community south of The Dalles, OR on highway 197. They get together every year and people from all over the country come to enjoy the old time way of harvesting grain. It was a grand time with plenty of photo ops throughout the day. Judy and I both took over 500 photos each! They have a parade, barbecues, things to sell, live music, demonstrations of tyre setting, threshing, shocking, plowing, old tractor pulling, old car show and many other things going on. It is a wonderful way to spend a weekend enjoying sights and sounds of a wonderful era. Following are a few photos from the Dufur Threshing Bee. Hope you enjoy!
